MENTORSHIP PROGRAM NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

The AFP Southeast Tennessee Chapter offers you an exciting opportunity to transform your fundraising career through its Mentorship Program.

THE BENEFITS OF MENTORING

You aspire to be a great fundraiser. Either you have a new position in the profession or you have some experience and wish to grow your knowledge and achieve the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential. One of the ways you can enhance and develop your skills is by pairing with an experienced professional fundraiser as part of the AFP TN Southeastern Chapter Mentorship Program.

It is essential to the growth of the profession that seasoned fundraisers (with seven or more years of experience) give back to the profession through guiding and advising “newcomers” and those who aspire to higher levels of success. This practice maintains high standards and facilitates the practice of effective and ethical fundraising.

The purpose of the Mentorship Program is to offer a unique opportunity for the relatively new fundraiser (fewer than three years of experience) to be matched with a seasoned fundraiser who has the skills, knowledge and resources to offer advice and provide one-on-one mentoring; and for the more experienced professional (with three or more years in nonprofits) who aspires to the CFRE credential.
